The road up to A’s

Just finished a GP AQ and feeling quite accomplished now :D Come to think about it, it’s the first time in a long time I’ve done a proper AQ (which is worrying but), it really feels wonders. After the enlightening GP lesson on AQ, it doesn’t seem that hard after all, which is promising! Hopefully whatever’s written is coherent and that the AQ grade will take a turn for the better. (: GP is one of the, if not the, most fun subject in JC man. I think we, or my class at least, enjoyed GP a lot more than last year. Lessons have been more lively, we learn more interesting stuff and different ways of looking at information. And now I feel more conscious and aware of everything that’s happening around – the daily news, current affairs and just general knowledge.

There are less than 90 days, close to 80 days to A’s. Can’t remember the exact countdown number but somehow the number of days left does not seem very intimidating. The pile of content-based knowledge to catch up and polish on, however, is SCARILY HUGE. Will take it one step at a time. (I get the feeling that sometimes I’m telling myself to be optimistic when I am actually not and it’s probably just an excuse. Sigh.)

But anyway! On to happier stuff, since there’s so little time left in school, we should start treasuring our days left in JC. And today really felt like one of the best days of the week. Touch rug was very exciting! Our team was initially really quite fail at playing it, and couldn’t get the hang of the game (we all have a tendency to pass the ball forward, who’s used to passing stuff backwards??) but throughout the lesson, thanks to Ysabel, we all improved (Y).

Touch rugby is such a clever game! But whoever invented was probably very bored, or was too imaginative at that point in time to come up with all the confusing rules which, incidentally, are what makes the game fun. Some basic rules are that you gotta pass the ball backwards/sideways, and when you get tapped by the opponent team, the opponent team has to retreat from you for five metres before advancing again. Which is… confusing right? The whole game seems to be defying normality, like you’re throwing backwards all the time but the game has to move forward. (Kind of like Okazaki fragments huh?) BUT STILL FUN. There are strategies to score, given the restrictions of the game. Tabitha & Vanice pulled off one beatifully today, awesome (: Awww I love PE. Am gonna miss it much.

Oh yes, Miss Liew is going to leave for Harvard ( !!! O: But :D ) We’re going to miss her. She’s been so dedicated in her teaching and have been genuinely caring for all of us. Hope her time at US will be meaningfully spent and that she enjoys herself there.

And in a few months, JC will slip by. *pang in the heart* What happens when you want A’s to hurry come hurry go, yet don’t want school to end? Howwwwww.

For now, time to hit the sack for a good rest. So thankful that the weekend is here. ‘Night! :)
