September again, September already

Looooong post ahead! Initially drafted from 27 Aug onwards on various days and all jumbled up together,

Sometimes it’s not the bad memories that makes you sad but also the best ones which you know will not happen for the second time.

So, today’s the last official day of lessons. It’s, so sad. And just like that, 2 years have passed. It’s surreal. I don’t know, I DONT WANT IT TO END PLEASE. I’ll miss my class. Adapting to JC life was tough at points but I love my class, 7E is awesome really and now, looking at it, we won’t ever have lessons per normal again, we won’t be walking from venue to venue as a class. Won’t be tripping each other on the way to the canteen/bus-stop, won’t be teasing people along the way, so many memories.

MAF yesterday, saw Sophie at the gate and it really lifted my spirits up so much – to see 7E people whom I haven’t seen for so long!!!!! (it really instantly made me !!! in a good way) cos all of us were cooped up studying. I really miss my classmates :’(

Anyway, went back to Nanyang for Teachers Day! It was so good. Seeing the teachers (: Come to think of it, they haven’t changed much. Mr Tan is still like a towering giant, Ms Ang is still as radiant as ever (even after the birth of her very adorable 2nd kid) and Ms Khoo looks the same. It’s good, brings back lots of memories. The other Mr Tan is still like Mr Tan, same voice, same warm smile. :D Mrs Ng went for Hair for Hope – so brave and inspiring! The guiders were, as usual, welcoming; always good to see them around. Oh! Ms V.D. is still so cheerful and bubbly, and we miss her so, so much. Whoever her students are, they are very lucky to have such a wonderful teacher. Really glad to see that everyone’s doing well.

Plus Rubin, Linh, Lan and Lien, glad to know they’re all happy and well too, and I might not show it but do miss them too :’) Sigh, those good ol’ Nanyang times. But we all move on, don’t we?

Small trivia – the NY canteen serves food that comes without MSG! Seems like a lot has been done to make the school a better place for everyone, and appreciate it that the lunch reception was organised just for the teachers and ex-students to mingle and catch up with each other informally.

For now, September’s here. A little belated, but Happy Teachers’ Day to all the wonderful teachers out there! Being a teacher is not easy at all, I respect my teachers a lot, some truly inspire and I’m so thankful for their huge impact throughout school life.

Oh!! Just have to show this really adorable picture:

Disney pixar
DISNEY PIXAR over the years :’) want to watch CARS 2 but no time :( It’s okay, looking at cute pictures like this good enough already. See the first row, the Toy Story peeps are huddling together (look at the baby Doll and the three little aliens!) SO CUTE! (oh where’s Barbie and Ken?? Haha) Feel like giving all of them a big hug :D

Was so bored of studying that I picked up a book to read three weeks back, and have read three books ever since. (!!!) Wow right, don’t know what’s gotten into me too. The three books were of different genres, all of ‘em, and guess I liked the novel the best, it’s a very ordinary novel actually, but I like normal :) like, sometimes you don’t need to lead extraordinary lives and life doesn’t need to be like a drama. So anyway the book talked about problems that this woman Roo had to face, family and work and stuff, and how she sorted them out. Had some epiphany hits along the way. Haven’t had this kind of feel-good feelings after reading for a long long time already.

Will go on a book marathon after A’s and try out different kinds of books. The books at the library are sooooo tempting, now I know why Jiayi always says she has to force herself to stop going to the library. Luckily my library card has fines that are not paid for and that’s a natural deterrence to borrow books already! The fines will stay for the time being ;)

Anyway, the internet is quite scary, because at Blogger and Wordpress and sites like that you can now see site stats. It’s been there for quite already, yeah, and gives you knowledge of where the visits are coming from. And some of the referring sites just make you raise an eyebrow, like random google searches for dentists and white teeth?? Mm but I still value privacy a lot so have always made it a point that whatever’s here is just whatever is sufficient to post on public domains.

Back to MAF. I thought the light-up was awesome. First time catching the light-up ceremony cos last year we were busy selling balloons, and wah the lights got choreography eh! It starts with the whole school dimming out all the lights and the feeling you get is a fast woooowwww. Then the music plays and then lantern by lantern the school lights up, then the main lights come on, then off again, and different lanterns light up at different times, hahaha it’s quite cute. Anyway it was amazing. Plus the deco too, the fountain, city gate and all. Last year’s was slightly nicer to me la, but good job to the councillors anyway the school looked so pretty yesterday! (:

MAF’s something really special in our school, it feels very heartwarming that HC alumni (not gonna use hwachongians cos it sounds abit funny haha) will come back and celebrate and catch up with one another. Yesterday, felt like haven’t seen all the batchmates for a long time, and it was nice, really, getting a dose of everyone’s antics again while playing Saboteur at Subway and the interaction. Rebecca was, as usual, very very enthu during SODACHE hahaha. I can’t imagine MAF without Reb, I bet we all won’t be dancing. Haha so thanks (:

Of course there’s more to say about MAF but it’s getting late already, tomorrow Prelims really kick in and ahhhh everyone’s getting so stressed up. September holidays ending already!! So fast D: But anyway seeing people you know and knowing that you’re not alone is very comforting. And encouragement and hugs from friends are really motivational. So FREE VIRTUAL SQUISHY HUGS for everyone out there :)

hug

All zeee best everybodyyyy (:
