Have a kit-kat

Dajia nihao, it’s been almost a week into Term 4.

Never thought I’d say this here, but it was (and is, and will be, I guess) exhausting. Never had the chance to study for a major exam after PSLE many years ago (awman so many years have gone by already??), so don’t really know how it feels like to be preparing for such a huge milestone in life. But it hasn’t been easy, not just for me but everyone else too, and I really hope everyone will be able to just press on for a teeeny while longer, then take a break then jiayou all the way.

Anywayyy recently came across quotes from Dr. Suess! Ahhhh childhood stories, TV shows, that Dr. Suess, the cat in the hat. I don’t remember much just he has a striped hat and always rhymes words and he loves GREEN EGGS AND HAM :D And looking back, he’s got some quotes that do make sense. Here’s something off from the net, haven’t actually heard it before but thought it made sense. It’ll be amazing if children internalise some of the stuff Dr. Suess says/quotes from cartoons, and though they don’t realise it at that time, it’s actually full of meaning.

Then to get my mind off notes and books for a while today, browsed through past photos and saw the Nepal ones and I kind of miss there and everything and I think we should be happy with where we are now. They look so genuinely contented :) I’ve said this before already but there’s so much to learn from them. For one, the kids there sincerely want to make you feel welcomed. They are eager to learn and listen to your lessons, and are curious about us simply because they rarely get visitors, and we are their connection to the world. Hope they’re doing fine. Especially the adorable little boy that kept sticking to Jeraldine, haha.

Also aimlessly turned on the TV in the afternoon just now and saw this cooking reality show on Channel 8. Cooking is so difficult! The skill, the attitude and everything. To cook is easy, but to cook something good isn’t. The shifu chefs were so harsh on the tu-dis but that’s how they learn I guess. Wah dampens my aim of learning to cook already. Will go watch Junior Master Chef after Prelims or something, it’s so cool that kids are mini-chefs; want to see how amazing they are and how they actually do it. Always believed that cooks/chefs are pretty smart/clever!

After the paper today, really felt v v brain dead. Like you just turn into autopilot mode and let your feet bring you to the bus stop, and somehow you end up at home. Am home now of course and it’s awesome. If only it’ll rain tonight like it did last night, then all the Bio students can sleep peacefully :]

Hoping for the arts students to have the strength to pull through, one more day to go to the end of the school week c’mon!!!

Meanwhile for the bio students, take a break, have a kit-kat! :) (It’s waiting for me in the fridge, bite-sized kit-kat bars that are just about the perfect size)

Okay byeee guess the hiatus isn’t on after all hahaha.
