As Kids See It

FUND RAISING WAS SUPER-FUN!
Like really super FUN.

Went to mingwei's house to cook fried rice, but we had to go NTUC to buy ingredients first, of course. NTUC had such a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong queue! And there was this person in front of us that bought two trolleys worth of food! It must have cost a bomb, I think.

Fried rice. When we first fried the cooked rice with all the ingredients mixed together, it tasted like plain old white rice. I always had that BLANK. look on my face when I tried the rice. I guess i'm not a good expresser...

Then then then we played pig. As usual, it was exciting. Jiayi kept getting last! It's like, all of us had our hands on our nose already, then after 1 to 2 seconds she looked up and we laughed. GO JIAYI! we're sure you can be more reactive! Jiayou! :]

After frying our heavenly fried rice and stored them in three big thermo pots, we journeyed to school! And set up our stall outside the audi. There were already a lot of people before C&D night officially started, and we made quite a bit. [yeah!]

BUT!!!!!!!! There's always a bad/unfortunate side to everything. And for our class, we realised that we couldn't hit $200 cos we sold too much per cup for the fried rice. Plus we had limited finger food, so off we went... to pam's place to buy more ingredients and whip up 60 sticks of finger food!

Time was tight. Really tight. So was pam's kitchen! 6 people, squeezing into one kitchen! Haha, but we had a lotta fun. Although June, Ingrid, jiayi and jody got some oil splats. [hope it doesn't hurt now!] And pam's sister was having sort of a "verbal fight" with ingrid, calling ingrid "nice ingrid" and saying that that's an oxymoron. Haha!

In the end we were running like mad back to school. And worse still, the side gate wasn't open! So we had to race against time... all the way round the school to the main gate! And we had to balance the food cos it wasn't covered and it was stacked up like it was going to fall anytime! [i dropped one stick :P] BUT we reached in time! There must be a happy ending to this story :)

And 212 sold out ALL of the food within about 20 min or so! HOORAY!!!!!!!! I was so happy. :D
