I heard that ticket sales for AYG were only 3%! )): but that was a week ago, maybe now it has increased.. Hopefully more people support singapore and support this whole AYG!
It is really cool when someone you know represents Singapore. During bio lesson yesterday, Ms Khoo allowed us to watch the basketball match between Singapore and India live on the AYG webiste, although we were behind time in lessons. It was a tough match, and our scores were initially the same, and time to time India would score more goals, then Singapore would catch up by shooting more goals (and our class will burst into applause!). Our class kept cheering for nicole and sharlene, hopefully they felt our moral support!
Our class got the chance to support team Singapore LIVE at Anglican High today!!! :D the Singapore team was quite impressive and the game ended in about 4min 30s O: with a score of 33-2 (singapore won the match!). they were fantastic, their goals, their accuracy... they're so cool! realised that the athletes have made A LOT of sacrifices behind their glory and achievements - health, studies... but they enjoy their sport, and are happy, and i guess that's the thing about sports, aye a lot of sacrifices but the satisfaction, the friendship ties forged can't be replaced by anything else! three cheers to nicole, sharlene, hannah (she's REALLY good) and the rest of the basketball team!
GO GO GO TEAM SINGAPORE :D
yay quah ting wen won gold in the 200m freestyle event!
