2. There's Bishan Park which provides fresh air every day :)
3. It's like a heartland
4. I grew up in Bishan/AMK :D
5. It's clean, green and full of friendly neighbours and people (at least for my part of Bishan!)
6. Circle Line is going to be completed real soon and Bishan will be connected to almost every part of the country!! (this indirectly means Singapore is small)
Anyway, Bishan Park is now undergoing construction for a future river where you can play in the water and all that, and it sounds cool! But now, they're giving part of the park a major facelift and are killing a lot of trees ): Just a few days ago, we saw them uprooting many big trees and it's heartbreaking cos it took 10 years for the trees to grow up, 10 long years, and now they're being chopped down... Poor trees!
I'm missing the park. It's so inaccessible now and it feels... empty not being able to stroll in the park and that we're all disconnected to nature haha, but at least I can see progress of the river project from above (: There are now large empty grass patches with piles of sand in some corners. Oh, found this picture of my brother and I thought it looks quite cool!
Here's Bishan Park with cranes (above).
Lastly, do catch the Ren Ci Charity Show this Sunday, 7.30pm, because Nanyang Chinese Dance will be performing alongside Elvin Ng and Felicia Chin! Let's all support them (and call in to donate), not only for their effort, not only for NYCD, but also for charity, and to spread the love :)
